Overview

Devaha ("the App") is a personal Hindu spiritual companion app for daily panchang, sadhana tracking, aarti, Bhagavad Gita reading, and mantra counting. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.

      TL;DR: Your data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or share your personal information. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, and no tracking. The app shows occasional rewarded ads via Google AdMob.
    

Data Storage

All your data — sadhana logs, streak history, mantra counts, bookmarks, routine settings, and preferences — is stored locally on your device. None of this data is sent to any server.

No account or sign-up required
Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all stored data

Panchang Calculations

The App calculates panchang (tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, muhurta, etc.) entirely on your device using astronomical algorithms. No internet connection is required.

Your location coordinates (if provided) are used solely for accurate sunrise/sunset calculations
Location data is stored locally and never transmitted to any server
You can manually set your city instead of using GPS

Religious & Spiritual Content

All devotional content (aartis, chalisas, Bhagavad Gita verses, mantras) is bundled within the App and sourced from public domain religious texts. No content is streamed from external servers.

Data We Do NOT Collect

No personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
No location data transmitted to servers
No usage analytics or telemetry
No tracking pixels or cookies
No crash reports sent to external services
No religious preference or spiritual practice data shared with anyone

Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display occasional rewarded ads. You choose to watch ads to unlock premium content (detailed meanings, additional aartis). AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

AdMob may collect the following data types:

Approximate location (from IP address)
App interactions (ad views, clicks)
Crash logs and diagnostics
Device identifiers (Advertising ID)

No personal data from the App is shared with AdMob by us.

Third-Party Services

Google AdMob — rewarded ad serving (only third-party service used)

No other analytics, tracking, or third-party services are used.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time from within the App:

Go to Profile → Delete All Data
This permanently removes all sadhana logs, streaks, bookmarks, and settings
This action cannot be undone

Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 18 and above. It does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Since no personal data is collected from any user, there is no risk of children's data being stored or shared.

Spiritual Disclaimer

Devaha is a personal spiritual companion app. It is not affiliated with any religious organization, temple, guru, or institution. Panchang calculations are based on astronomical algorithms and may have minor variations from traditional panchangs. The App does not provide religious authority or spiritual guidance.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
